CLOSING KEYNOTE: From the Front Lines of EMS to the White House Situation Room: Leadership Lessons from an Unlikely Journey

    VIEW DESCRIPTION

Throughout his career, Dr. Richard Hunt has kept the patient at the center of every job he has held, whether in the emergency department, as an EMS medical director, or on the president’s national security team.

The recipient of last year’s Pinnacle Joseph P. With behind-the-scenes stories from treating patients in the emergency room to advising the president in the West Wing, he’ll share what he’s learned over three decades of challenging the status quo and standing up for patients.

Richard Hunt, MD, is currently the senior medical advisor, National Healthcare Preparedness Programs for the Assistant Secretary of Preparedness and Response at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Prior to that, he served as Director for Medical Preparedness Policy, National Security Staff, The White House. His career also includes stints as head of the CDC’s Division of Injury Response, EMS medical director and former president of NAEMSP.
